Share contact details as a vCard
A vCard QR code stores contact details that a compatible phone can offer to save. PixieQR uses vCard 3.0 with UTF-8 text, without hosting a profile or connecting to an address book.
A name is required. Phone, email, organization and website are optional; empty optional fields are left out. A website must start with http:// or https://.
How to create a contact QR code
- Enter the name you want the contact card to show.
- Add the phone, email, organization and website you want to share; clear any optional fields you do not need.
- Download PNG or SVG, then scan the file on a phone and check the fields before saving the contact.
Add the code to a business card
Use the 512 × 512 PNG in a document or presentation. Choose SVG for a print layout that needs resizing. Keep the light border clear of nearby text and test a printed sample before ordering cards.
If a phone imports different contact fields
Contact apps differ in their support for vCard 3.0 fields. Check the name, phone and email on the devices you expect recipients to use; scanning does not guarantee an identical address-book layout.
If the code becomes too dense, remove optional details you do not need. When contact details change, generate and distribute a new image.
